After numerous unproductive years in the bars of the Bronx playing the real life role of half a tough-guy, Wayne decided to really challenge himself and tried his hand at acting.

From his first acting class in 1997 to now, he has acted in over 70 films. Most recently he has appeared in Uptown Girls, The Guru and Law and Order: Criminal Intent playing opposite Brittany Murphy, Heather Graham and Vincent Donofrio, respectively.

Gurman's ability to bring honesty and truthfulness to each role he plays has brought him praise from every director he has worked with. His mixture of humor, sensitivity, and easy-access violence combines to create a unique actor whose future is as bright as the stars. Gurman credits the renowned theatre director Gene Frankel with building such a strong acting foundation to draw from and build on.

Other interests include cleaning his pool, relaxing, and clubbing baby seals off the coast of Newfoundland.
